• Okay, so I'm totally new to pixel art and this course made it so easy to jump in. I'm making sprites I never thought I could - and I'm only at the beginning of the course! The instructor's pretty chill and explains stuff like you're both just hanging out. Super cool.

• The lecturer’s teaching style is excellent! There is not too much theory; the focus is mainly on practice and on accepting mistakes to help learners improve their ability to learn from them. Thank you, teacher!

• The instructor clearly explains concepts of pixel art in a way that is easy to understand. The class is both informative and enjoyable. I would recommend this class for anyone wishing to understand this amazing art form.

• Im a beginner in pixel art, literally, im a vet (I really enjoy learning new skills and I always wanted to learn digital art), and this course is amazing, I lost the fear to aspirate, and I feel incredible when y finish the exercises. this learning style is my favorite, practice, practice and practice <3

• Excelente. Cubre muy bien fundamentos básicos. Un capitulo sobre diseño de personajes habría sido bueno.

• Great course, I feel it covers pretty much all your bases for starting with pixel art and being able to use aseprite and get good at it.

• The Course is short but points all the main topics , gives you a very good foundation and start on pixel art and it´s real about time and commitment to be good.

• The best part always for me is practice! I was looking for courses for pixel art and this is what I was looking for. Thank you! :)

• my personal experience is brilliant, step by step instructions, steady and short, the shorter the clip, I roughly half way through the course and the attention to detail with 2D pixel art is really good.

• Amazing Course for understanding of pixel art. Animation lessons are really detailed and knowledgeable. Good explanation on perspective, animation, Isometric art and parallax. Good stater pack for pixel art and game art, the concepts are explained from basics to advanced which made you ready for explore advance things in pixel art.

• The course instructor was friendly and reassuring, breaking down difficult-looking projects into manageable steps. Repeating the workflow across multiple projects was useful in getting comfortable with making pixel art, so I feel confident in making my own pixel art now. I liked that there was a range of topics to learn, from making materials to animation. It was a great speed for beginners - challenging enough to keep you interested but not too hard to complete. Overall, a fab course!

• I am really enjoying this course. It is very beginner friendly. I am half way through and am looking forward to rest. Thank you for great course.

• Highly recommended! This course is great. The greatest thing for me first of all, Roman answers all questions and not only quickly but also in a friendly way. I never once had the feeling of asking too many questions or having to think too long about whether to ask because the feedback was always great. You can tell that he really cares about helping. You don't get that with many other courses and i think it's wonderful, thank you Roman! He also explains very well and the lessons are well paced so that you can join in straight away. There is a lot of great material to download, which often summarizes the most important things so that you can look at it again later. There are also materials to join in and lots of assets from Roman that you can use as a reference. i am very happy that i did this course! Thank you Roman :)

• Excelente curso. --------------------------------- Excellent course. I saw a comment saying they didn’t like the way the exercise templates were followed or how it was explained, but personally I thought it was the best way I’ve seen on Udemy to explain the basics, to teach, and to get us practicing.

• I really loved the course. At first I was skeptical because I thought it would just be copy and paste like most videos on YouTube. But no, the teacher explains each element very well and is always there to give advice. I had never drawn or even done pixel art before this course and now I am able to do incredible things in pixel art that I would never have thought I would be able to do. I also strongly advise you to always try to create your own assets throughout the course to see if you have assimilated well the explanations. Once again the teacher is incredible, don't hesitate to ask him for feedback.

• He went through every menu item on the Asepirite software application. Very thoughtful and great explanations.

• ive tried a few different courses so far, this is the first paid one ive done for pixel art, and im happy to say that so far, it has met every expectation. i am the type of person who learns by doing, not by just watching and trying to remember things, i need to do it to master it. so far we have went along and remade sprites for simple things, and roman teaches you why things look the way they do, and what you need to do to recreate that effect in such a way that i can remake the sprites on my own just by looking at the references and following the guidelines we have learned. i am confident that by the end of this course i will be a master artist, and can make things entirely on my own. fantastic course, cant wait to get more into it!

• I recently took this pixel art e-course, and I have to say—it exceeded my expectations! All the instructions are incredibly easy to understand, and the combination of clear video and audio makes learning feel smooth and enjoyable. Each step is broken down in a way that’s beginner-friendly but still really informative. What I appreciate most is how the course doesn't just teach techniques, but also encourages creativity and consistency. It's helped me gain more confidence in my pixel art skills, and I’m truly excited about the progress I’ve made so far. My biggest hope is that with continued practice and the foundation I’ve built from this course, I’ll eventually become a pixel artist skilled enough to be recruited by a game studio. This course definitely feels like the first step toward making that dream a reality.

• It has been very informative and helps me to understand and apply the basics of pixel art and animation as well as gain confidence in color pallets overall very well done

• Loving the course so far, great explanations and demonstration. The way theory is taught from examples and alongside practical Asesprite tips is awesome.

• As a new pixel artist looking to level up my skills, I really appreciated the depth and quality of this course. I spent about 30 hours over 2 months taking my time to work through all of the assignments / challenges and I felt like that pace really illustrated to me just how much thought went into the course on Roman's part. If you put the work in, I think you'll get a lot out of the course and Roman's constant encouragement in the lectures had me surprisingly sentimental/proud when I hit the last one. Thank you!

• Great Course, for someone who doesn't have any sense of art like me, i can follow this course well, i highly recommend it for everyone who wants to start learning pixel art.

• Truly went above and beyond phenomenal for an online course! The downloadable resources, instructor explanations, just make this course one of the best priced courses I've had the pleasure of purchasing! Kudos to the instructor and hopefully I learn a ton more from what I already have so far!

• So far this course is extremely well structured! I love that you get some theoretical background - how to achieve certain types of forms and shapes in pixel art.

• I haven't finished the course yet but the instructor is great he takes his time and helps you develop as you go and he does it at a good pace. highly recommend if you need a good starting point this course is great. shows you how to use the software and how to make great pixel art.

• So far I love the detail as opposed to some other courses I’ve taken about the same subject that glosses over important things.

• great course so far and exactly what you need if you are a beginner looking to get started on 2d art for games

• I've learned a lot from this course and feel more skilled in pixel art. It's a great option for beginners.

• Showing how to select one color and create a palette from it (using an online free tool) was an amazing first step. After that, learning the workflow and how to apply the shades was just tremendous. It's up to each student to practice and see how far you want to take it. This course gives you all the foundation you need to get started and learn all the basics! I highly recommend it for those interested in learning how to do pixel art.

• Good starting point. easy to follow instructions. good course to learn the basic concepts. what you learn and how you apply them is on you.

• Roman Gurbanov is such a great teacher! So clear and understandable. He takes super complex sprites and breaks them down with little tips and tricks. Thank you, Roman!

• In general I don't leave feedback on the course but I'm really impressed with your teaching style. I am not only review your class only as a student but also as an UX designer. The class is well-structured , amazing materials, really useful tips. I have such a good experience taking your class. Your course is one of the class the I keep watching almost half of it on the first day. I really enjoy practicing your exercise. I wish you create more course like this. You really deserve five stars. I learn a lot of this class and hope I would have a chance to create beautiful pixel art.

• I am a programmer with 0 art experience and am unreasonably passionate about making video games. After youtubing many videos to get an idea of how to approach the pixel art side of a 2D game and not feeling optimistic, I stumbled upon this class. Freaking awesome stuff if you're a total beginner looking to make art for video games.

• I started doing pixel art about half a year maybe longer before I started this course. I was struggling a lot in actually improving beyond very amateur-looking art, and this course helped me get past that hurdle! It gave me a solid foundation of techniques and knowledge, the rest is up to me to practice and perfect my craft. Thank you so much Mr. Roman for a great course.

• I found the course gave a really good view of all aspects of pixel art and everything was crystal clear.

• Just finished the course: I must say it's an Excellent course! Extremely clear! I enjoy every second of it. Very well explained, lots of topics were covered, and lots of practice for us to get used to aseprite software, also they included challenges in each section so we could test our skills on the project. There are also some PDFs to help us remember the basic concept, there's also a quiz for each section for us to remember what exactly we learn from this section. I was able to understand everything and start making my projects. I love how the instructor slowly introduces new techniques and adds some explanation in each section. I could understand most of it and not get overwhelmed with new information. The pace is perfect for beginners. This is an approachable training course for anyone looking to learn pixel art and Aseprite. I recommend this course to anyone who wants to freelance doing pixel art and game art. Thank you so much! Looking forward to other courses by the same instructor.

• The way he introduced the course you'll just know he's an expert, just a few lessons in and I've already fallen in love with this course. I highly recommend it for a beginner who knows absolutely nothing about pixel art.

• You have explained everything crystal clear. But our software does not respond so nicely as you describe.

• I haven't finished the course yet, but my experience so far has been very satisfactory. As someone new to pixel art, I really liked the explanation. Also, Roman makes you feel like he can always help you.

• In just a few short hours I've become more confident with drawing. The practice regimens and worksheets really helped there. Plus I never really used a pen tab before (not a requirement for this course), but I found a $60 one on Amazon that made me want to dive in even further.

• You've taken a lot of pixel courses on Udemy, and none of them worked, right? That's because you thought you were buying a Pixel course. The real Pixel course is here. The instructor is explaining all the pixel secrets without hiding.. Forget about other pixel courses; the real pixel course is here

• Never had I ever thought I could come out of a single course with freelance-level indie gameart skills! I totally recommend this course to anyone who wants to freelance doing pixel art and game art.

• This course is a gem. I applied the SPECC framework to my first ever game scene and it looks like some professional with 130k on IG made it ha ha! I totally recommend the course. It's easy, super informative, and full of downloadable resources!

• It’s not just lessons, the instructor is really moving to help me master pixel art while having a great time creating. Five stars!

• Easy to understand explanations and examples help drive home the core principles in pixel art design the author is working to relay to the student. This is an approachable training course for anyone looking to learn pixel art and Aseprite. I've layered multiple courses on Udemy, like this one, to help build a solid bedrock of knowledge as I move forward with my next game project, which includes pixel art elements.

• Merged the pixel clouds and smoke into my work and voila, my illustration is suddenly more expressive. I’m currently incorporating more pixel art into my digital illustrations and trying to get that signature style lol. It’s like the course tapped into this hidden potential I didn’t know I had.

• I'm used to complex designs, and managed to make a living of that, but this course showed me how to create impact with simplicity. The module on game scenes blew my mind – it’s so niche yet so powerful. Already used the techniques for a client’s retro game project and they loved it!

• Started this course with zero clue about pixel art, now I'm drawing pixel trees and rocks like it’s nothing. The lessons are easy to follow and i'm actually having fun learning. The course is legit.

• The project-based learning here is spot on. With no prior experience in pixel art or any fine art, I come out of every lecture with my own sprite which I really like! And it’s been only a day into the course.

• I’m absolutely impressed how this course is structured and presented. I set a goal to draw at least 8px sprites on a decent level after completing it. Now I'm around 90% in, and creating 64px sprites (platformer) with a fairly high level of detail! I’m super stoked and definitely vouch for the course and for the instructor!

• Thanks for showing me how tilesets work. Prior to the tiles section in the course I just could not comprehend how other pixel artists build full screen terrains and backgrounds. Now I'm finishing my abandoned lab floor and with Roman’s help it couldn’t get any easier. Appreciate!

• The tips on lighting and shading techniques have got my pixel art popping in ways I didn't expect. It’s been only 2 hours into the course and I've progressed more than during the prior week practicing. Big thanks to the teacher!

• As a game dev, digital art's always been kinda distant to me, but the instructor broke it down real nice, and now I'm actually making sprites that i can use for my game. I totally recommend the course.

• As an illustrator, I was curious about how pixel art could enhance my work. This course has been a treasure trove of tips and techniques that have made my illustrations feel retro. The instructor's expertise and a bunch of worksheets, sprite sets and references made it so easy and enjoyable to follow along. Thanks!

• Made my first explosion animation after the smoke tutorial and I'm already on my first game concept! Thank you for inspiring me and for the skills! You are really a true teacher!
