Farm lesson 13: bush
The round bush by the house, 16 by 10 pixels, built from clusters of leaves.
This sprite is wide. It's easier to draw on a computer, or with your phone turned sideways.
Step 1
This step also removes a few pixels. Use the eraser where the guide fades a pixel out.

Step by step
Step 1: Lines
The outline of the bush: round bumps, one per leaf cluster.
Step 2: Colors
The middle green.
Step 3: Shading
The darker green at the bottom and between the clusters.
Step 4: Light
The light green on top of each cluster.
Step 5: Outline colors
The darkest green around it.
Step 6: Finishing touches
The black line at the foot recolored into greens by hand, so the bush melts into its shadow.
Step 7: Shadow
The shadow under it, one shade darker than the grass.
